Summer Intership 2012

This summer, we are seeking highly motivated interns in our Brooklyn office.

Duties will include:

  • Fundraising
  • Identify new markets on which to focus efforts.
  • Assist in planning fund raising events.
  • Follow-up with previous donors to maintain & enhance their interest in the project.
  • Utilize resources such as The Foundation Center to identify potential new grants for submissions.
  • Build and maintain a robust dialogue and online community to help volunteers self-organize and conduct fund raising events.
  • Data entry, filing and administrative tasks.
  • Additional assistance with special projects as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Excellent phone and email etiquette.
  • Ability to work independently as well as be a team player.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and able to multi-task and prioritize.
  • Ability to grasp, articulate, and promote the mission of our organization.
  • Excellent writing, editing, proofreading, verbal and organizational skills.
