Summer Intership 2012

This summer, we are seeking highly motivated interns in our Brooklyn office.
Duties will include:
- Fundraising
- Identify new markets on which to focus efforts.
- Assist in planning fund raising events.
- Follow-up with previous donors to maintain & enhance their interest in the project.
- Utilize resources such as The Foundation Center to identify potential new grants for submissions.
- Build and maintain a robust dialogue and online community to help volunteers self-organize and conduct fund raising events.
- Data entry, filing and administrative tasks.
- Additional assistance with special projects as needed.
Qualifications:
- Excellent phone and email etiquette.
- Ability to work independently as well as be a team player.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and able to multi-task and prioritize.
- Ability to grasp, articulate, and promote the mission of our organization.
- Excellent writing, editing, proofreading, verbal and organizational skills.
