We are coming. We are changing the world’s view of acceptance one school at a time and in the future, no matter where you live, you will be able to communicate and be accepted by all.
It’s amazing to me that we, SkillCorps, are across the globe, in a totally different culture and facing the exact same challenges as we do in the United States daily. It is not unique that a teacher is frustrated that a child will not respond to him/her because the child cannot communicate. It is not unique for a parent to be crying and devastated and wondering why their child has autism.
In the end, it’s up to each and every one of us. Will each of us accept others around us, even when we all don’t communicate the same?
